The Dickinson Theatre Organ Society enjoys a well-known reputation for presenting premier performances on an internationally acclaimed instrument. 2019 was our 50th Anniversary Year of bringing the finest theatre organists from the world over to concertize for the general public. You are cordially welcomed to join us at a concert in our now 53rd season, and we thank you for your support!
2024-2025 Season Concerts
Skip the line, save time, buy by phone (302-995-2603) or online (big blue button to the left). Buying season tickets online allows you to save $10. Tickets will be emailed to you, and you can print them out at home or load them on your smart phone. You can then skip the line in the lobby and go straight into the auditorium, just showing your printed or mobile ticket. Season tickets are still available - they include the remaining shows for a discounted price.

Whether you want to hear Luke Staisiunas play the organ in a mini-concert (starting at 2:00), browse the DTOS music shop (open at noon), or even try your own hand at playing the organ (noon-1:30PM), come join us at our open house! If you have ever wanted to know more about how the organ works or ask questions about how the society is run, this is the event to come to. Anyone is welcome to sit down at the organ and play it, regardless of skill level.

Monte Maxwell
Monte Maxwell, the Chapel Organist and Director of Chapel Music at the United States Naval Academy since 1997, commands the five-manual, 268-rank organ in the main chapel. He works extensively with various choirs and musical groups including the Protestant and Catholic Chapel Choirs, the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, and the Midshipmen Symphony Orchestra. He has chaired the Naval Academy Music Department and directed instrumental activities. A distinguished performer, Monte has played in numerous countries and is an active member of the American Guild of Organists. He earned his Bachelor of Music from Texas Christian University and studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard School of Music, where he received advanced degrees. While studying in Philadelphia, Monte was an Associate Organist at the John Wanamaker Store, playing the famed six-manual organ, the largest playing organ in the world.

Jelani Eddington
Jelani Eddington is a renowned concert artist known for exceptional performances on the theatre pipe organ. His technical expertise and expressive artistry captivate audiences, earning him widespread acclaim and a dedicated following in the concert circuit. Jelani has made significant contributions to the world of theatre organ music. He has performed at numerous national and regional ATOS conventions and has produced over 30 theatre organ albums. Besides music, Jelani focuses on the law. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University and went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School. Currently, he is practicing law in Wisconsin.

Ian Fraser

Ian Fraser developed a passion for organs and mechanical music at a young age, sparked by a band organ he heard at age two in Staten Island, NY. His journey into playing the theatre organ began at 16 after a transformative experience at Chaminade High School. Leveraging his ear-playing ability, Ian taught himself to master the theatre organ in just a few years. His performances span notable venues across the Northeast and Midwest, including DTOS, Boardwalk Hall, and the Capitol Theatre, among others. Ian's achievements include winning first place in the ATOS’ Young Theatre Organist Competition in 2023. He currently serves as the house organist at the Barrymore Film Center and the St. George Theatre, where he introduces the theatre organ to new audiences through pre-shows and educational programs. Beyond performing, Ian is deeply involved in the restoration of pipe organs and mechanical musical instruments. He holds leadership roles in various organizations, including President of AMICA’s Lady Liberty Chapter and Director of COAA.

Pierre Fracalanza
Pierre Fracalanza started playing piano and organ at three, and by eight, he performed in churches. At sixteen, he was a church organist and music director, later studying at the Eastman School of Music. Initially a professional entertainer in Detroit's exclusive venues, he also became a theater organist at Theatre Organ Pizza and Pipes in Pontiac, MI. After fifteen years, he joined Hammell Music as a Steinway product specialist, introducing Yamaha products in Detroit, appearing in commercials, and performing on Yamaha and Roland organs. He transitioned to full-time church music at a large Roman Catholic parish in Novi, Michigan, continuing piano, vocal, and theater organ concerts with multimedia presentations. His interest in enhancing his concerts led him to virtual theater organs, becoming a beta tester for Paramount Organ Works. He has performed extensively, opening for Carol Channing and playing for Senator Edward Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, and Arlene Dahl.

Dave Wickerham
A Dickinson Favorite… Dave is a native of California and started playing the electronic organ at age 4. Moving to Arizona in 1976, he became the associate organist at the three locations of Organ Stop Pizza restaurants there, while continuing his classical organ studies at the University of Arizona. With his family, Dave moved to the Chicago area, then to Wisconsin and a brief stint in Las Vegas, where he fulfilled jobs as both a theatre organist and a church musician. Dave has also toured in Australia and New Zealand, and currently lives in Michigan, from where he concertizes extensively in the United States.
DTOS Founder Robert E. “Bob” Dilworth passed away on January 19. His life and legacy lives on through The Robert E. Dilworth Memorial Concert Series.
